I am so excited to be launching this series and to begin my journey as an author. Writing the book began several years ago when I thought of the characters and started the series. It didn’t take me several years to write the story or at least the first book in the series. That was the fun part. The hard part was getting the courage to publish the story, I poured my heart into. I feel very close to these fictional characters.

From Darkness Into The Light is the introduction to all of the characters I have grown to love and hope you will too. Their journey won’t end in one book. Follow me as Luke, Lena and Justin take you on a roller coaster looking for what we all want in life. To be loved.

As a child ER Nurse Lena McKay’s life was altered the day her father, who was a police officer, was killed in the line of duty. That traumatic event sent her life in a tailspin that she spent years trying to recover from. The bond she still feels with her father can’t be undone. Although she makes mistakes, her goal is to make him proud.

One day while visiting her father’s former partner, Lena happens upon a crime scene and befriends a woman who married into one of the most affluential families in New York City. She is injured badly, and Lena does her best to help her. Without knowing anything about the woman other than the fact she was pregnant and hurt, Lena forms an instant connection. That connection will change her life.

While Lena assists the injured woman, Justin, the woman’s husband, and his brother Luke are working at their father’s high-end law firm across town. Each man has large, emerald eyes and handsome features. Although both exude confidence, there is a softness to Justin that Luke does not have. When news of his wife being shot is relayed Justin and Luke rush to the hospital to find out her status.

There they meet, Lena the angel who has vowed to do everything she can for the injured woman, and she becomes intwined with the family. No one understands Justin the way Lena does and the two form an instant bond. With his equally handsome and rich brother it is harder, but the chemistry is undeniable. Will she be able to escape the darkness and finally find the light?

This story is about fate and feeling an undeniable pull to find connection. More than that, it is a story of self-discovery and finding love. I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I enjoyed writing it.
